Handmade Christmas 2017: Art Impressions Bells Ring with Copics

Today we have the third card in my Handmade Christmas 2017 card series.  Every time I look at this set and this card, "Shake Your Booty" by KC and the Sunshine band gets in my head.  And how can you not smile and laugh when you see a booty-shaking snowman getting his groove on?  I think we need more of that; more laughter, more silliness and more mirth all around.  Christmas celebrates where we can find ultimate joy- Jesus.  Joy that doesn't fade or end, but lasts forever.
The stamp set used is Bells Ring by Art Impressions.  The set comes with the stamps, die and 1 action wobble.  You can buy more action wobbles at their website and many retailers carry them as well.  If you enjoy coloring, this card is easily mass-produced as well.  Here is the link to the video tutorial on my YouTube channel and the supplies are listed below.

Supplies:
Art Impressions Bells Ring set
AI Action Wobbles
Bristol Smooth cardstock
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die
Copics:
  • Jacket/Berries: R37, 39, 59
  • Hat/Gloves: E17, 18, 19
  • Scarf/Leaves: G17, 19, 29
  • Carrot nose: YR15, 04
  • Bells: Y17, 35; YR20

  • Blush: R20
Doodlebug Ladybug (Red) Velvet cardstock
Neat & Tangled banner die
Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen
Neenah Classic Cream cardbase
Scor-tape
Power-tabs (adhesive foam squares)

I hope you are enjoying this years card series so far.  I also hope and pray that you know Jesus.  If you don't, I encourage you to check him out and give him a chance.

For His glory and much love,
Jasmine

Bee Popcard by Art Impression with Copics and Distress Oxides

I'll be honest, this card...I got frustrated with this card and I'm sure we've all been there with projects we just about gave up on.  However, it's so dang cute and I had already put a lot of work and supplies into it, so I kept going.  As much as I love Art Impressions, someone dropped the ball with this set.  They don't provide clear instructions and there are stamps with coordinating dies that I couldn't figure out what they were supposed to be.  But don't let that stop you.  Hopefully, my video will make your bee building a breeze, as I've tried to work out some of the kinks.  The stamps and coordinating dies come together, but you do need a separate template die to build your bee.  Here is the video tutorial on my YouTube channel and my supply list is below.

Supplies:
Art Impressions Bee PopCard set
Art Impressions PopCard template
Bristol Smooth cardstock
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Distress Oxide inks
Vellum
Black Cardstock
Copic Markers
  • C6, 8, 9 and Y02, 08, 17
Pre-embossed Honeycomb patterned paper
Woodgrain patterned paper
Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen
Imagine Crafts Sparkle Spritz
Little Things Lucky Dip Marigold
Matte Medium
Tombow Mono Multi
Foam square adhesive
Scor-tape

It took a bit of finagling, but I was really pleased with my finished product and I think my little nephews will enjoy it.  Thanks for joining me and I'll catch you later!

For His glory and much love,
Jasmine

Spooky Cooky Halloween Hop with My Inky Oasis (facebook group)

Welcome to my stop on the My Inky Oasis Spooky Cooky Halloween Hop!  In case you're wondering, My Inky Oasis is a facebook group for papercrafters, cardmakers, mixed media artists and stamping enthusiasts.  If you aren't a member and want to join, look us up!  We'd love to meet you!  Even though I have a Halloween birthday, I'm not a big fan of gore or fear so I went with a goofy and funny theme in my card.  Starting with the Art Impressions My Feet set, I used Copics to color him, added a stenciled background and die cut sentiments, then finished off with some sequins.  Here is the link to my video tutorial on my YouTube channel if you want to see start to finish how I created this card.  You should have arrived here from Deana's blog and next up is the lovely Linda.

Masculine Watercolored Shaker with Tupelo Designs LLC

Hey guys!  Todays card was created around the Art Impressions Cottage stamp and die set.  It was originally designed with a home interior scene to go behind it, but I wanted to see what else I could do with it.  Using the trees from another Art Impressions builder set, I created this scene with a guy card in mind.  I kept the colors more muted so that the bright interior shaker element would stand out and seem homey and welcoming.  I kept the sentiment simple and it could be changed to birthday, welcome home, or more of a formal sympathy statement.  Here is the link to my video on my YouTube channel and be sure to subscribe so you don't miss any card-making goodness.
