10 cards using Foils, Transfer Gel and a Laminator

Hello!  Todays video has 10 cards in it with a simple foiling technique that is quite versatile and will help you get more out of the dies you already have in your stash.  I didn't new any of my newer dies for this; they're all a few years old.  My goal with this card design was to think outside the typical and find new uses for my stuff.  I used transfer gel and heat-transfer foils for these cards, so you'll need a laminator.  However, you don't need one that is uber expensive.  Mine was $18.  A cool thing about these foils is that you can usually get at least 2 cards out of a sheet of foil and I'll show you how to use the negative.  I had so much fun designing and creating these cards, so lets get started.  Using older products in videos, sometimes things have been discontinued and I came across that issue with this video.  I've done my best to find similar products to serve the same purpose although they may not be identical.  Here's the link to the video on my YouTube channel and my supplies are listed and linked below.

Supplies:

Memory Box Snowflake die (discontinued)
Penny Black Inspire die

The formatting on todays post is a bit wonky, and I apologize, but Blogger doesn't want to cooperate with me, so it is what it is.  Regardless, I do hope you enjoyed the post, video and design ideas and encourage you to delve into your stash and see what new ideas you come up with.  Happy crafting!

Love and grace,
Jasmine

Foiled Acetate Shakers with No Stamping

Foil, rainbows, shakers and EASY.  Versatile too.  Deco Foil recently came out with clear acetate Toner Sheets.  These are 8.5x11 inch clear acetate sheets printed with various designs and ready to run through your laminator with heat transfer foil.  So much fun.   I cut a sheet of the Splatter print down to 4.25x5.5, giving me 4 panels, and used a different foil on each one.  I couldn't wait to play with these and they are so cool.  The green/rainbow one would be perfect for a boy and you could change the sentiment to anything you wanted.  If you didn't have a right die cut, you could stamp and cut a banner shape to attach instead.  I think my Marty will be getting that one.  He's 10 and loves interactive cards.  Here is the link to my video tutorial and supplies are listed below.

Rainbow Deco Foil
Minc Pink Gold Ombre foil
Deco Foil "Splatter" Toner Sheets
White and Green glitter paper
Scor-tape
3M Foam tape
White cardstock
Smile die
Tombow Mono Multi glue
Pink and light green shimmer paper
Neat & Tangled Like Magic sequins
Little Things
Jewels: Bridal
Sequins: Clear Iridescent, Lily White, Star Shine

Thanks for hanging out with me for a bit!  Let me know if you have any questions.  See you next time!

Foiled Peony with Ink Blending and Dry Embossing

Full disclosure: I did not set out to make this card.  It was actually an experiment that went really right!  I used the Peony Coverplate die from Papertrey Ink and die cut it to see if it would work as a stencil for the Deco Foil transfer gel.  After using the gel and letting both pieces dry, I ran both through my laminator and was ecstatic with the results.  I used a textured cardstock I've had in my stash forever because it's a little heavier and that texture gave the foiled piece a really cool, vintage vibe that I liked better than the stenciled piece.  I used Amethyst Watercolor foil with it, so it has variegated purple tones and it just stunning.  I HAD to use it on a card.  I wanted to keep the ink blending really soft so that the foiling would stand out and to give it another texture.  And for one more element of texture, I dry embossed the white cardstock that I then ink-blended.  If you watched my alcohol ink video using this same die, then you'll be familiar with how I used the diecut to guide where I placed my colors of ink.  To finish it off, I added a die-cut sentiment in a medium teal and my card was complete. Click here to watch my video tutorial over on my youtube channel.  Supplies are listed below.

6 cards with the Brutus Monroe Unicorn Inspiration Box

Lots to talk about today!  If you haven't tried one of Brutus Monroe's Inspiration Boxes, you are missing out!  Brutus Monroe always has images that are different and a bit funky and original.  They're attractive and versatile, making them suitable for both genders.  Masculine cards are something that tend to be difficult, so finding a stamp set and card kit that lend themselves to guy suitable cards is a rare find indeed.  These kits include a stamp set, cardstock, patterned paper, ink, foilable panels (toner printed panels ready to receive foil), and embellishments.  I have lots of leftovers to play with as well.  So lets get to the good stuff; the cards! I've made 5 cards, each with a different image and sentiment from the stamp set and a sixth card with leftovers from creating the others.  Here's the video with each card so you can re-create them at home or better yet, find more inspiration for your own designs.

You're A Hoot by Brutus Monroe

Todays post is a 2 for 1 deal!  I've made 2 cards with similar styles using the Brutus Monroe You're A Hoot Inspiration Box and I love each of them.  The Inspiration Box is basically a card kit that includes a stamp set, cardstock, dies, embellishments, stickers and an ink cube but goes a step further to include toner prints that you can foil using a laminator.  Super cool.  This certainly has a fall color scheme to it, but the stamp set and owl die are usable all year.  I have a few ideas for Christmas cards too.  I hope Brutus Monroe makes the toner sheets available as a stand alone item in their shop because they are so versatile and cool.
In the video tutorial on my YouTube channel, I give an overview of the kit contents and how I made each card and my supplies are listed below.
